The goal of swim lessons is self-rescue in a child-centered environment and a love for the water.

Toddler Level 1 - Sea Star
Ages: 3-5 Years

- Comfortable in the water (buoyancy and balance)
- Shows readiness to begin learning swimming techniques
- Walk, feel, balance on step or platform
- Kicking skills
- Monkey walk
- Sit down jump with assistance (Humpty Dumpty)
- Introduction to back floating
- Submersion and breath control (holding)
- Floating on tummy
- Swim 3 feet comfortably and independently
Toddler Level 2 - Turtle
Ages: 3-5 Years
Student/Teacher Ratio: Up to 3 students
Goals:
- Bubble blowing
- Introduction to movement
- Jellyfish float (front float)
- Back floating
- Circles on steps (U-Turn)
- Elevators
- Paddle arms (only if child is moving independently)
- Hokey Pokey
- Swim 5 feet comfortably
- Sit down jump, fishes in the ocean or Humpty Dumpty independently
- Retrieve objects from the bottom
Toddler Level 3 - Crab
Ages: 3-5 Years

- Swim 6 feet
- Elementary backstroke kicks

- Backstroke kicks with board

- Introduction to big arms (only when student can take a breath independently)
- Jump in, come back to side

Toddler Level 4 - Goldfish
Ages: 3-5 Years

- Freestyle with breathing to 1 side (Alternate Side Breathing can be started after breathing to one side is mastered)
- Perfect elementary backstroke
- Streamline with kicks
- Bobbing skills
- Swim 25 feet with side breathing

Ages: 5 Years and up
Student/Teacher Ratio: Up to 3 students
Goals:
- Full stroke breaststroke with proper breathing
- Introduction to treading water
- Butterfly with breathing
- Introduction to Individual Medley
- Emphasis is on increasing distance with proficient stroke
- 10 minute continuous swim
